Safeguarding Information

Knight Nursing carefully safeguards confidential and proprietary information entrusted to us by those with whom we do business. Information obtained, developed or produced by Knight Nursing and its employees and information about Knight Nursing customers is confidential. This information should not be disclosed to anyone outside Knight Nursing – including friends, family, relatives, business or social acquaintances, customers, or others. Do not disclose this information to other Knight Nursing contractors except on a “need to know” basis and with agreement of the recipient to treat the information as confidential.

Patient Care

We deliver appropriate, effective, high quality care to our patients, displaying compassion, kindness and respect. Patient care must be appropriate and designed to meet the intended outcomes of the patient’s Plan of Care. Patients must always be treated with sensitivity, respect and professionalism. Patient’s rights will always be observed.

Plan of Care

We prepare all plans of care with integrity and accuracy according to Knight Nursing principles, policies and procedures. Plans of Care are utilized as tools to strengthen patient care management and aid in organizing and delivering services, as well as in evaluating patient outcomes. Plans of Care must be individualized to ensure care provided is appropriate to the specific needs of the patient. For skilled services, we carefully assess and document the medical necessity of the care we provide and will ensure that physicians’ orders are received for care provided.

Fair Treatment of Employees

We treat one another with respect and fairness. It is the responsibility of members of the Knight Nursing team to create and maintain a work environment in which employees are treated with respect. Harassment or abuse of any kind is prohibited. This includes harassment or unlawful discrimination against our employees by supervisors, other employees, clients and customers. All employees are expected to avoid any behavior or conduct that could reasonable be interpreted as unlawful harassment of employees or persons who do business with the organization. Knight Nursing also prohibits discrimination in any work-related decision on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, disability, veteran or citizenship status, or any characteristic protected by law.

Qualifications and Credentials of Contractors

We provide high quality patient care, employing properly qualified professionals to deliver that care. Knight Nursing carefully matches the skills and abilities of our employees to the needs of our clients to assure the assignment of qualified employees. When particular credentials are required, we verify that our employee has these credentials. Knight Nursing prohibits contracting individuals who have been convicted of certain crimes, including crimes related to health care, or who are listed by a federal agency as ineligible for participation in federally funded programs. Knight Nursing will conduct a background check that is commensurate with the level of responsibility of the position sought by the applicant.

Ethical Business Practices

We display good judgment and high ethical standards in business decision-making. We will conduct business with honest, fairness and integrity. These qualities are demonstrated through truthfulness, the absence of deception or fraud and respect for the laws and regulations of our business.
